The why of YANMMUSIC

Music, ultimately, is a cosmic endeavor. That is to say, it is created by the elements within and, therefore, in its most honest sense, should be as diverse as the universe of elements that create it. It is a narrow view to think that only humans create music. The birds sing songs as does the wind traveling through the trees. Waves crashing against the shore hum their own tunes. Even the stars sing -- though their songs exist in a world beyond the unaided perception of humanity. All things in creation vibrate and therefore make sounds. Those vibrations are orderly in the overall scheme of the universe, even though our limited perception can hide the truth of that order. Ordered sounds are music.
Even if we limit our understanding to sounds produced by humanity, the diversity of those songs is overwhelming in scope, given that our habits as clans, nationalities, ethnic groups, ages, races, religious and political groups and individuals give rise to countless variations of a subjective perception of reality.

So, why is it that so many of us insist that there are only so few ways to play music? Why do so many of us insist that only certain types of music are "legitimate" and why are there so few "legitimate" ways of playing that music? Why must these "legitimate" forms of music be played with only a few "legitimate instruments?"

Given that the world is all around is, music is all around us and can be found everywhere and in many forms. YANMMUSIC (your asylum not mine) is an attempt to be free of mentally constructed restraints in the construction of music and, thus, an attempt to allow the composer to say whatever he or she desires in any way, shape or form he or she chooses. It is not an attempt to be "weird" or unconventional for the sake of being "different." Rather, it gives license to be one's self.

Here are examples about that which I speaketh.
